Enjoy the beautiful fall colors at this three-day fall pioneer festival at Island Park. Riverboat rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, fur traders, candle making, pumpkin painting, food, music and more.
October 14 | 1-10 pm | Grand Ledge Opera House
Inaugural festival that honors longtime Grand Ledge residents Ernst & Barb Floeter. Family oriented activities throughout the afternoon. Admission is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased in advance for an Authentic German meal for $15 served from 4 pm to 7 pm. VIP packages are available. Proceeds will benefit the Grand Ledge Opera House Restoration Fund. October 14 | 3-8pm | Lansing Brewing Company, Stadium District
2nd Annual Lansing Brewtoberfest Patio Party. $10 advance entry fee ($15 at door)
$5 of each entry will be donated to Making the Turn Against Parkinson's. Entry fee includes 2 beer/food tix (517 Mug Club members will receive 3 tickets). Additional tickets will be available for $3/ea. German food specials, music from Bolzen Beer Band and beer features.

Fenner’s Apple Butter Festival is a community event, with visitors trying their hand at heritage games, using a cross-cut saw, and even helping to stir the apple butter. Local musicians and artisans will be demonstrating their crafts.
October 15 | 5 pm | Harris Nature Center, Okemos

Sponsored by Two Men and A Truck and Michigan Apples. Event will feature fall food and drinks, family games and activities, music, inflatables, and a pumpkin carving contest for individuals and families. Come Trick-or-Treating with the vendors dressed in your Halloween costume.
October 29 | 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm | Riverside Cemetery, Okemos
Riverside Cemetery is located at the intersection of E. Grand River and Hamilton Road in Okemos, Michigan. Learn about this small cemetery with the earliest settlers and pioneers in the township buried here. The last burial was in 2001. This event is part of Meridian Township's 175th Anniversary Celebration. Donation.
October 29 | 3:30 - 4:30 pm | Poor Farm Cemetery, Okemos
The Poor Farm Cemetery aka Ingham County Home Cemetery was used to bury residents from the late 1800’s to the early 1940’s. Learn about the people that lived there and how their bodies were sold for research. I am sure there are some ghost stories in the tour as well! This event is part of Meridian Township's 175th Anniversary Celebration. Donation.
