St. Johns, Michigan is located about 30 minutes north of Lansing and is the county seat of Clinton County. The city has a population of almost 8,000 people and covers 3.87 square miles of land. St. Johns is known as the Mint Festival City. As mentioned earlier, St. Johns holds the Mint Festival every year on the second weekend of August. The city is well-known for its plethora of mint farms located in the area. The festival features a craft show, family friendly entertainment, and fun games. A week before the festival, a Mint Queen, Junior Miss Mint, and Little Miss Mint are crowned at a Mint Pageant.
