Ovid, Michigan is a city that lies in both Clinton County and Shiawassee County. The city sits almost right in the middle of St. Johns and Owosso, and is about 30 minutes northeast of Lansing. Ovid has a population of around 1,600 people and an area of 0.92 square miles. Though this town is small, there are a large number of reason to love Ovid.

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Schafield and Danforth was a well-known business in Ovid that manufactured carriages. Ovid Carriage Days is an annual festival that takes place every September to celebrate the industry and its heritage. The festival has plenty to do including games, arts and crafts, local vendors, a 5K run-walk, and more!
