Michigan Steam Train North Pole Express

November 17 - December 17 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Owosso, MI
The North Pole Express is a four-hour excursion to the Village of Ashley: two hours on the train, and two hours in Ashley. While in the Village of Ashley, enjoy the vintage style decorations and sounds of a Classic family Christmas, music, comedy, and variety acts, write a letter to Santa, petting zoo, and so much more! 405 South Washington Street, Steam Railroading Institute, Owosso, MI  

Wonderland of Lights

November 17 – December 31 (Thursday-Sunday) | 5 - 8 pm | Potter Park Zoo, Lansing
Potter Park Zoo is transformed into a magical winter wonderland with thousands of holiday lights and extraordinary visual displays. Kids activities, entertainment and your festive animal friends make this a fun event for the whole family. Please note: lights are on Thursday–Sunday nights only. Closed Christmas Day.

Silver Bells in the City

November 17 | Downtown Lansing
The city will glow with thousands of lights for the Silver Bells in the City celebration, bringing together family and friends from across Michigan and beyond to kick-off the holiday season. The Electric Light Parade, Silver Bells Village, lighting of the State Christmas Tree, fireworks over the Capitol dome and musical entertainment are all part of this Lansing tradition. 

Brunch with Santa

November 18 - 19 | Troppo
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in town for a special brunch at the newly renovated Troppo. The day includes holiday arts & crafts, letter writing, cookie decorating and a delicious brunch. Reservations at troppo.org

Silver Bells 5K

November 18 | 9 am | Capitol, Lansing

Registration is now open for the Silver Bells 5K! The race begins at 9 a.m. in front of the Capitol on Saturday, November 18. There will be prizes for the best holiday costumes. Sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Dean Trailways. Register at runsignup.com/silverbells.

17th Annual Lighted Parade and Tree Lighting

November 24 | 6 pm | Downtown Mason

Mason Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Mason Holidays Celebration and 17th Annual Lighted Parade & Tree Lighting. The lighting ceremony begins at 6:15 pm. Parade steps off from Bond Park at 6:15 pm.

Small Business Saturday

November 25 | 9 am - 4 pm | Downtown Charlotte
Visit Charlotte businesses for some holiday shopping. Santa, live music, demonstrations, unique gifts from local businesses and much more!

November 25 | 10 am - 12 pm | Downtown Mason
'Tis the season to shop small! MACC will be at Big Santa and his mailbox passing out Santa hats sponsored to the first 300 people. Staff will also be available to take photos for families with the big Santa and his mailbox so be sure to bring your cameras and phones. 

Holt Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 29 | 6:30 pm | 2074 N. Aurelius Road, Holt
This holiday celebration has carol sing-a-longs, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa Claus. Gather around the township tree and watch as the lights get turned on.
