December 1 | 7 pm | Grand Ledge Fire Barn
The 45th Annual Night Lights Christmas Parade is a spectacular nighttime parade starting at the Grand Ledge Fire Barn and then making its way down Bridge Street. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their appearance at the end of the parade on a red fire truck. Kids can then visit with them at the Sun Theater and watch a free movie - "Shrek The Halls".
December 1 | 7 pm | Harris Nature Center
Bring your best friend (2-footed or 4-footed) on a guided hike through the moonlit woods.
Dogs must be on a leash. Flashlights are permitted. $3 per person, payable at the walk. Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road, Okemos, MI.
December 2 | 2 - 5 pm | Downtown East Lansing
East Lansing’s free, outdoor winter festival with a wide variety of fun-filled seasonal activities.
The Winter Glow activities will be located in Ann Street Plaza, Fountain Square and inside the East Lansing Marriott. The outdoor spaces are adjacent to the intersection of Albert and M.A.C. avenues.
December 2 | 6 pm | Eaton Rapids
The ER Chamber of Commerce will be having the Hometown Family Christmas. The parade will start at 6 pm. Please come out and enjoy all of the festivities planned for this spectacular event which include bands, choirs, children's characters, food, crafts and more...and of course, a very Special Guest...SANTA CLAUS!

Green Friday shopping event will take place in conjunction with the Winter Glow! Shoppers are invited to downtown for a special East Lansing version of the popular day-after-Thanksgiving Black Friday sales.
December 2 - 3 | East Lansing
The MSU Arts & Crafts Holiday Show is one of the largest in the state. This year’s show will include many returning favorites as well as brand-new artists. There will be a broad range of vendors selling handmade items, including: candles, furniture, jewelry, home and yard decor, aromatherapy, clothing, children’s toys, paintings, photography, sculptures and more!
December 2 | 10 am - 7 pm | Old Town Lansing
Come see what the Hullabaloo is about! Stop into our participating Old Town businesses to enjoy treats, crafts, and a whole bunch of holiday cheer at participating businesses.
December 2 | 6 pm | Downtown Williamston
The 21st Annual Williamston Chamber Light Parade to be held in downtown Williamston where you can meet Santa, listen to music and enjoy the lighted parade.
December 6 | 5 - 9 pm | Potter Park Zoo
Celebrate the wintery season with our WINTER casual after hours bash at the zoo! Enjoy tastings of beer and wine and sample fabulous hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants as you listen to holiday tunes and meander through the zoo, featuring our holiday favorite Wonderland of Lights. Tickets can be purchased online until 3 p.m. and at the gate until 8 p.m. on December 6. Must be 21 or over to attend.

Santa is coming to DeWitt for what is sure to be a great night. Each child will receive a gift from Santa and a picture from Ashley Photography. December 20 | 6 pm | Eaton Rapids
The City of Eaton Rapids' Christmas Decorating Contest will take place on Wednesday, December 20th with judging at 6:00 pm. There will be winners for Business and Residential. 1st Place will be $150 off of your utility bill; 2nd Place is $100 off of your utility bill and 3rd Place is $50 off of your utility bill. The Judging Criteria is as follows: First Impression/Design - 45 points; Originality - 20 points; Environmental Elements (Conservation) - 10 points; Suitability to Site - 10 points.
