On Friday, December 9, the Lansing Network of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR) awarded CBHB agent Amie Brown with the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Amie received the award not only because she is an active member of WCR, but also because she is an active member of our community. She attended many of WCR’s meetings and fundraisers, had high sales production, and spent a lot of her free time doing things for others. From CBHB charity work to being involved with her daughters’ after school activities, Amie has worked hard to give back in almost every area of her life.
Amie is approaching her three-year mark in the real estate business, and also more than doubled her sales from last year to this year. Being so young in the business, this was quite unexpected for her.
“I’m very honored because I know people that have gotten it before are amazing sales people, so it’s just an honor to just be recognized, and for people to actually see how hard I’ve worked for the last couple years,” Amie said.
Tracey Hernly, another CBHB agent, is the 2016 President of the WCR Lansing Network and had the pleasure of awarding Amie.
“She’s just a really giving, loving person,” Tracey said.
CBHB’s President Bill MacLeod also had some great things to say about Amie, “She is the true meaning of an Entrepreneur. She is a self-starter, creative, energized, innovative, and a leader. Yet, she does it all with class and a helping hand for all who could use it.”
The WCR is a national organization that focuses on developing leadership in the real estate community, with networks in all 50 states. The council holds eight educational meetings in Lansing each year to further professional and personal development.
WCR awards are no stranger to our agents, as last year Terry Lasky received the 2015 REALTOR® of the Year Award and two years ago Mike Bowler received the 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
We are so proud of Amie for working so hard and for receiving such a prestigious award. Congratulations, Amie!
